Position Summary:
A paraprofessional may work in a variety of positions in a school district. The primary roles are to assist, support, and work closely with teachers, administrators, and other team members in providing educational benefit for students. Duties will vary according to the needs of the student from physical assistance and care to behavioral management and academic assistance.
- Facilitate Virtual Arkansas (online credit)/credit recovery lab.
- Keep records of attendance and monitor student progress.
- Maintain detention and in school suspension.
- Anser the phone when needed.
- Substitute floater.
- Assist Administrative assistant/counselor with clerical duties.
- help maintain High school website.
Position Qualifications:
- Knowledge of the schools and CMSSD policies and procedures.
- Evidence of strong commitment to quality education.
- Evidence of strong organizational skills.
- Evidence of strong oral and written communication skills.
Certificates and Licenses:
Valid Arkansas Paraprofessional certificate or license to meed ADE certification standards for the position's essential duties and responsibilities, or Assosiates degree.
Computer Skills:
Ability to apply basic computer programs (spreadsheet, word, excel, powerpoint, etc...) to enhance job performance. ( Others could include NWEA, HAC/TAC, ACT aspire). |
